Shmemora hall. It didn't really make much of a difference. I mean, this place was to train powers and abilities right? Well, how the hell do you train a girl with an ability that she literally doesn't know how to control? Everyone who she meets, forgets her anyways. Unless they had like this weird power negation, but it's like she had never existed. Maybe you'll be like eyyy she's pretty cute, but that's just it. You won't even remember what she looked like, what she sounded like. You'll just know that you talked to someone, but you'll never remember who you talked to. But yeah. That's only if you were really good at that. Like, really, really good at that.

There was never anything to do here. Everyone else was training, getting to know each other better, talking and blah blah blah. Not to say that no one ever talked to her.. It's just that she was the one who had to approach everyone because they could never remember. One time, some guy actually asked her who she was despite the fact that they had been friends for years. She didn't even think that her own father remembered her unless he always had to write a reminder to meet someone for himself after every appointment she had. It was always so tedious and lonely.. But she survived, right? Uh, duh. Of course she did. If she didn't, she would have been dead.

Died so hard that she died to death, sort of thing. The only reason why she's been mistaken was because there were a few people who shared the variation of spelling in her name, but that's where the similarities stopped. She just.. Honestly. It was weird. That's why she never thought on it too much. Too much time in your head equals no fun. No fun fun. Really bad y'know? But now here she was. Not really in her uniform. Just lazing around, somewhere in the hall. Bright yellow raincoat with a bikini underneath. It doesn't really matter if someone spotted her and then went off to tell a teacher - because they'd forget her by the time they left. It's happened before.

Ahh.. Valorie kicked back onto the ground, laying in the middle of god knows where now as she stared up at the ceiling. Hmm.. The weather was getting nice. Maybe she should buy herself some rollar blades? Might need some paint.. And a bubble wand. Ooo.. That'll be fun. A smile crept up on her face at the thought, and now ideas were brewing in her head. BUT HEY. SHE NEEDED A PARTNER! What's like, this super duper awesome crime whatever without a partner in crime amiright? Of course she was right!

So off she rolled - literally. She was laying down, and rolling on her side down the hallways.

Another boring day in the life of one Sherman Harper. With a mind as active and cognoscente as his you'd think 'how could his life be anything but colorful and awesome' right? Well, he had to go to class, the single most boring thing he had to do in a day. Spend nine hours sitting through courses he'd already learned by the fourth day by just absentmindedly flipping through his textbooks. The rest of the quarter was going to be such a bore and he was already done with the huge waste of his time. He'd recently taken to using his android in class, but the teachers were all such sticklers for the rules. No one could use phones in class, not even people who knew everything they were going to say before they said it. Every once in a while they'd go off topic which would snap him back from his mindless zoning out, but he'd gotten so used to their teaching patterns that he'd made it more or less a game to whisper their lectures along with them.
Today, though. Today would be different! For not a second later, he felt something yellow and heavy hit his feet.
"Mmm?" The meaningless question flitted from his throat as his eyes were turned downward at the girl laying at his feet, raincoat opened partially, her bikini showing underneath. Normally he would have been lost and bewildered had he been a normal person. No. Wait. He was still lost and bewildered. This was perhaps the single weirdest thing to have happened to him all day. Let's pause it here, shall we? I can tell what you're thinking. All day? If it were me I'd think myself the luckiest guy ever-- right? Well! I'd say the highlight of my week so far had been Erika Simmons taking over the mind of Lenny Freeman making him strip on the spot, stand on his desk and yell that he was "single as a Pringle and lookin' for some lovin'" before running off around campus shrieking like a little girl. Back to the present. "Close, but I'd have to rate this an eight." He mused more to himself as this girl wouldn't know what he was talking about. Maybe if she were going to get a bubble wand and some bubblegum paint it might kick it up a few notches... but what were the chances of that?
He allowed his eyes to stray up to her face. It was a familiar one, he'd seen her in passing a few times on the Second Year's floor of the school. Obviously she was a second year student. But she wasn't wearing her school uniform right now, so that would suggest that she was playing hooky, not even trying to hide it from anyone she was seen by. This could comment on her lack of cares for rules and regulations as well as the consequences that came with them. She was above these rules somehow. The way she was dressed suggested that she didn't care of people saw her body. Either she was oblivious to how teens might react around her, she enjoyed the reaction, or she was certain that there would be no repercussion for letting people see her-- or all of the above. The pure joy that radiated from her face as she saw his took him aback a little. He couldn't tell what was going through her mind, but whatever it was he only knew that she had made some kind of a decision before he'd even had a chance to introduce himself. Should he be scared?
"Stop." he held up a finger. "First, just let me say that my name is Sherman." He tilted his head, pondering if there was anything else. No, not really. "Huh, guess that's it. Alright, I'm all yours."

Flip, flop. Rick, rock. Lippidy dop. Where was she going? No one knows! But all she actually did know was the fact that she was probably going to be bumping into someone. Or into the wall. Yeah, that was a thing too apparently.

BAH. Whatever. Valorie could only care about rolling on the ground, seeing no problem. If there's no one in the hallways like this, then she should totally be allowed right? Even if she weren't in class, the teachers wouldn't remember her and therefore she wouldn't have much of a problem going around and about skipping classes after taking the attendance. She's never called out in class, anyways. Like if the teacher never sees her, they'll never remember that she was suppose to be in there in the first place. Some people even forget her after meeting her the next time she meets them, and to her it's always been on that constant loop.

Gah. She was thinking again. Spending too much time in her brain. Did she know about this? Uh, duh. Yeah. Was she expecting it? Uhm.. Probably not. The odds are that she didn't, but she also didn't want to go admitting it. With a sigh, the platinum blonde female continued to roll and roll. They saw her rollin' oh whatever. THey'll forget about her the moment she passes by the door, anyways. Wow, she must have been like, really obsessed with memories. But dude. LIke, everyone who sees you, forgets you. How could you NOT be bothered?

Before she knew it, she was at the feet of some.. Guy. Pretty tall from where she was laying down, though granted she was always a pipsqueak. The bright, turquoise gaze hadn't broken off from him yet, but here she was just staring up at him while he was speaking to himself. Uh, was he okay? lIke, did he need to see a doctor or something? She talked to herself too, a lot. But only because there was something wrong with her-- That's when she noticed something that she actually hadn't earlier. Upon closer inspection from this angle.. Moving the light jut a liiiittle bit from above, and paying attention to each brunette hair on his face.. Wasn't this guy pretty attractive? Yeah. A guy with glasses was usually pretty cute. Intellectual, made a guy look like he knew what he was doing. From what she knew, it kind of made the girls (and those special guys *wink*) swoon and want to take them off. Although based off that hair style.. Preppy? The way he stood and all kind of gestured in that direction.

But then he.. Rated her? Maybe? OH. WERE THEY PLAYING THE RATING GAME NOW? She could do that! She could totally play that game! Hence why without even getting off of the ground, the bizarre girl held her hands up, trying to frame him between her fingers before a smile curled up on those cocoa brown lips of hers. "I'd give youuuu.. A NINE!" She laughed out, arms stretched upwards to narrow her view and focus on his face. Did he think she was weird? Yeah, he probably thought that she was weird. Like why the hell is there a girl in a bikini suddenly rating me? WELL. She actually doesn't know. But it's just like, so much more entertaining like this, right? That's what she thought too!

Just before she was able to get up and drag him along, he paused, and introduced himself. Sherman, huh? Sounds like hermit. HEY. THAT'S A GREAT NAME!

Without much a warning, she practically sprung up like a jack-in-a-box. The girl was light on her feet, and her yellow coat followed not too far behind her. The clinging of her pearl beads hit against each other before finally resting, and the first thing she did was flash a smile to him. "Hermit!" Sher blurted out with a stupid smile on her face. Valorie wasn't giving much regard of what he thought of the name, because by now the odds are that she has already decided. "Okay! First! Valorie! Now I'm gonna grab some skates, and you're coming on with me!" Her voice raised at the latter, and quickly her hand wrapped around his wrist while enthusiastically pulling him in her direction.

The young girl on the floor before him couldn't have been very old, but she was at a high school which suggested that her age was closer to his than he'd have thought. Maybe a year or two younger than him. Her darker, chocolate complexion reminded him of an Indian's. her eyes and face didn't hold the proper shape for the more eastern countries, but her light blonde hair screamed dyed and such a contrast was popular among specifically the Japanese culture ruling out Mexico. Her high pitched voice shrieked out the rating she reserved for him. A nine! Sherman was flattered, but he assumed she was talking about his appearance not so much the weirdest things to happen this week. Then again, she seemed happy with the rating she had received so he wasn't going to correct her. A small smile touched his face as he listened to the machine gun fire of her thoughts. If he hadn't had hypercognition he'd probably have been lost, but his mind was somehow able to keep up as she spoke. Hermit? Sherman? Herman the Hermit Crab? Strange creature indeed but something told him she wasn't referencing a book from his childhood. Maybe it was a nickname. It was kinda cute and he certainly did come across as solitary-- but he enjoyed people and wasn't often found alone, ironically.
"Valorie." He repeated, got it. It was nice to be able to place a name with her face. He could only imagine what the skates were for, but whatever they were for she seemed eager to get a pair on herself. When she spoke he'd imagined her going on her own to get them but the iron grip that formed around his wrist. Oh. The thought formed in his brain and moved to his mouth but before he could get the sound out he felt himself jerk in her direction as she pulled him along. What a strong little girl... It was around this time that he felt the picking at his brain. He'd felt this before, the touch of another person's mind extending to his. It took a few moments but he was able to follow the connection back to Valorie. The light picking made sense now as her bubbly personality even shone through her powers. It wasn't a dangerous ability that was trying to possess his mind, it was a cry for acceptance and a nudge to being more friendly toward her. Well, that wouldn't be a problem even without being affected by her ability.
"Where are we going?" He asked, resigned to his fate being her +1 for the rest of the period. It was only learning to use his powers and-- honestly, there was nothing left to learn. His power wasn't something to learn so much as it was for him to apply effectively. Besides, he could explain his absence fairly easily. A girl like this must have quite the reputation if she did stuff like this at the school.

Indian, yes. Dyed, Aha. No. A loooot of people thought that her hair was dyed, but in fact it was just a really light shade of platinum blonde that she inherited from her mother. Paired with those sea blue eyes, but it's no wonder that people thought that she probably did look pretty damn weird with that complex. Personally, she thought that she looked pretty cute. Nice figure, good curves, bit of a baby face but that just added to charm y'know? Of course it did. Because she is FABULOUUUUS! HA. No. Buuuut she liked to think that.

She couldn't help but to smile even more, hearing his voice speak out her name. Yes, yes! That's how you say her name! Great! He knew basic English! So now, introductions were aaaaall done, and there's no need to be dwadling on that stuff, yeah? Yeah. The petite girl pulled him forwards along with her, feet light against the ground as she swiftly made it through the Semora's corridors. Perhaps it would have been better to go somewhere else, most people thought. Why the hell would the hall have skates anyways? Well.. They kind of teach Cryokinesis or whatever it's called, right? So.. There has a to be a place where they caught how to like, cover the entire room in ice, right? So that ALSO means that there is a room FULL of ice in this place, just WAITING to be skated in! Plus, no classes right now. How'd she know? Observing. And stalking. Mostly stalking.

Let him be coming out of his own will or not, but she was still going to be dragging him around like this. At this point, she has chosen to ignore whether or not people actually follow her due to this love inducement or otherwise, or maybe they were just entirely unwillingly and she was the one causing trouble-- Yeah. She chose to ignore it, because it probably doesn't matter anymore really. So long as everyone has fun, yeah? Duh! This guy didn't seem to mind either, so there was no need to worry about consent!

BUT REALLY! THERE WAS NO NEED TO WORRY ABOUT CONSENT! Not like she would do anything, anyways. Down the halls they went, with her tiny figure pulling the taller male around. The only sounds asides from the clicking of her shoes against the floor was the rustling of her coat as it fluttered behind her. Her bright blue eyes looked back to him as she walked, never straying from the path. "You know how there's that ice room thing, yeah?" She asked in a lighthearted tone. Her grip around his wrist softened, but the sugary and hyperactive vibe only got stronger. "It's plain. Like, Really plain. REALLY REALLY plain. SO! That's why you're gonna come with me, and we're gonna add colour!" So she says, but whether it me metaphorical colour or actual colour was up for debate, seeing that by extensions she was a bit.. Fairly broad in the sense of personality.

"Aaaaalmost there though! I keep this pair of ice skates not too far, but maybe you'll have to try out a different size? Uh.." Hmm.. Were there enough? If she looked hard enough, the odds are that she would be able to find SOMETHING, SOMEWHERE. She actually wasn't sure where she could get some skates his size, and so ended up looking to him. "Any clue, Hermity?"

The kidnapped teen didn't seem to really mind his predicament, he couldn't sense any hostility in her actions despite how rough she was being with him. His arm hurt a little at the yanking she was doing but he was able to take his mind off it. What was pain but one's brain sending signals through pain receptors alerting the brain of discomfort from one's body? All he really had to do was follow the signal, find the part of the brain that was being affected aaaaand..! No more pain. It was a nifty trick he'd used through middle-school. It hadn't been the best experience but he'd learned how to cope with bullies. They'd really lost interest as soon as they'd started targeting him, mostly because he wouldn't fight back or give them any reactions. Her questions pulled him out of his past. He hadn't really been paying attention to her and honestly had missed what she'd said, but there was a part of him that had been listening and caught every word. A quick recollection later and he had the gist of her question.
"Well, if we're looking for an ice room it'd be in the Elemental Manipulations Wing. More specifically I think it's practice room 113." So, the thirteenth room on the first floor. He'd noticed that all the odd numbers were on the left and they were currently passing 119, so they had a short walk to get there. He'd never been in the Elemental Manipulations Wing before but he was pretty sure there wouldn't be-- he stopped suddenly in his tracks, his arm freeing from Valorie's grip. "You think they might keep them in there?" He wondered aloud as he moved toward a storage room. It was locked, but locked didn't stop someone like him. Sherman pulled out his student ID and slid it in the crack between the door and the frame. Some doors actually had good locks that required a pick, but these cheap school locks were more or less just affecting the handle. By sliding the card he was able to retract the latch allowing for easy entrance. Yet another middle-school trick. Not one he was particularly proud of but one that proved useful on more than one occasion. Lo and behold, the walls were lined with not only cleaning supplies and items used to restock, but ice skates as well! Seemed like the kid knew her stuff!
He scavenged the room for two pairs of skates that looked like they'd fit them and promptly ducked out of the room. If they were going to do this, they'd need to move fast. The longer they were out in the open the more likely it was that someone would catch them and put an end to their fun. Honestly, Harper had never ice skated before. He'd wanted to but his family had been poor and couldn't afford many of the things that other people could enjoy whenever they wanted. Still, it'd sounded like Valorie had done all this before-- perhaps she'd found an unused pair of skates in an ice practice room and brought her own paint and splattered the color everywhere. He was quite impressed with that thought, she did whatever she wanted whenever she wanted without caring. Still, she was only human. He took off his school blazer and held it out for her along with her skates. "Here, once we get inside it'll be cold. You don't want to get sick."
